The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the College's efforts to comply with its responsibilities under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits sex discrimination, including sexual misconduct, in education programs and activities for institutions that receive federal financial assistance, as well as retaliation for the purpose of interfering with any right or privilege protected by Title IX.

The Title IX Coordinator oversees the College's response to all reports and complaints of sexual misconduct and works with the Office of Student Life and College administrators during the investigative process. The Coordinator also works campus-wide to continually assess and improve College programs that support a safe and welcoming place for all students free from discrimination based on sex. Upon a report or complaint of sexual assault or sexual misconduct, the College will immediately open investigative proceedings that are thorough, accurate, prompt, impartial, and equitable.

Individuals who wish to report anonymously may do so by filling out our Anonymous Report Form for Sexual Assault and Misconduct and mailing it to the Office of the Dean of Student Life, MacMurray College, 447 East College Avenue, Jacksonville, IL 62650. Sexual Conduct Policy

MacMurray College prohibits all forms of sexual violence. The College affirms the view that sexual misconduct and sexual assault within the academic community is a threat to academic freedom. The MacMurray community will not tolerate violation of another person's rights through sexual misconduct or sexual assault. All reports of these violations will be investigated regardless of whether the alleged incidents occurred on or off campus. Not only may such actions be subject to the following policies, but they may also be punishable by civil and criminal legal action. College disciplinary processes are not dependent on the filing or outcome of criminal or civil proceedings.
